Logically, payment was to be made within three months following the ruling. But, more than a year later, the families have still received nothing. Casimir Ngakala, one of the leaders of the Collective of parents of victims from Chacona police station, came to inquire about their situation at the office of the lawyer handling the case. He left it very disappointed and visibly angry.

Do you think the Treasury can go entire days without paying out money. They make expenses and ours is scheduled in the Treasury's expenses. But they don't do it. They say there are no liquid funds. What liquid funds! The Treasury is not a small bank after all ".
Lawyer for the victims, Me Steve Bagne, is more than scandalized. " Really, it's sad. I am sorry. The parents have not received a single franc in compensation for the immeasurable harm they have suffered ", the lawyer laments.
For now, the families who claim they have not yet finished their mourning have not planned to demonstrate or attempt other legal action.
