The team is now complete. Until now, only twelve of the fifteen members of the new electoral commission had already been appointed.
No surprise in the plenary chamber on Thursday when the names of three new figures are unveiled. Didi Manara, recently expelled from Joseph Kabila's party, becomes second vice-president of CENI, the most important position reserved for the opposition.
A former minister, Aggée Matembo, is appointed questor, while Jean Tokole, former governor of Tshopo province, will sit as a member of the plenary.
Appointments made without debate, approved unanimously by deputies of Félix Tshisekedi's Sacred Union.
Next step: their appointment by presidential ordinance and an oath-taking before the High Court before they take office.

On the side of the Kabilists, the FCC coalition says it is not concerned and reminds that it is the entire leadership team of CENI, Denis Kadima at its head, that is contested. The camp of the former president still demands consensus after formal discussions on the texts governing the Commission.
The FCC remains suspicious and accuses the current government of having taken control of the institution with a view to the 2023 elections.
In this context, opposition leaders Martin Fayulu and Adolphe Muzito at the head of the Lamuka coalition have disapproved of what they call poaching maneuvers by the Tshisekedi camp. One of the members of their coalition had been appointed as a member of CENI since last October, without a mandate from Lamuka.
