Very familiar with donors, reassured by his technocrat profile, Félix Moloua should have no difficulty obtaining the expected disbursements in the face of economic challenges.
As for political tensions within the ruling party, this founding member of the MCU (Movement for Change and Unity) does not appear to be a direct competitor to the party heavyweights: he is described rather as a "discreet executor".
Little upheaval is expected therefore with this new government, which retains exactly the same team, at least until the results of the republican dialogue, according to an observer. This dialogue, meant to end the crisis and promised long ago by the head of state, has still not begun.
"That is where the real questions — security and governance — will be addressed", predicts opposition figure Me Nicolas Tiangaye.
Nevertheless, according to the UN, the population is currently experiencing the most significant humanitarian crisis since the last civil war.
