Francophonie Zero Plastic is a francophone platform bringing together over 300 members working to combat plastic pollution.

The documentary Homo Plasticus, directed by Élodie Bonnes, achieved resounding success during its screening cycle organized by the Francophonie Zero Plastic coalition. In total, 25 screenings were organized in 8 African countries (Benin, Cameroon, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Togo, Madagascar, Côte d'Ivoire, Niger, and Guinea), reaching 1,855 participants.
This mobilization represents an average of 74 participants per session, a remarkable figure for educational and participatory screenings. The most active countries recorded impressive participation rates: some sessions in Madagascar and Cameroon brought together up to 120 spectators, demonstrating the growing interest of communities in questions of plastic pollution and environmental health.

The quantified success of this initiative rests on the concrete commitment of the organizations that are members of the coalition, which coordinated the logistics and facilitation on the ground. Their work made it possible to ensure not only maximum participation in the screenings, but also the quality of exchanges with the public.
The coalition also expressed its gratitude to Élodie Bonnes, whose provision of distribution rights made it possible to reach several people in a matter of weeks, a figure that illustrates the effectiveness and reach of the campaign.
Francophonie Zero Plastic is a francophone platform bringing together over 300 members working to combat plastic pollution. This organization is considering expanding these programs with the goal of reaching several thousand citizens in the coming months and strengthening collective awareness in the face of the global plastic crisis.
